This famous artist's limited edition mixed media print with gold plate, is 24" x 33", 31" x 40" framed, and signed by the Artist, Melanie Taylor Kent. This is a sold out edition which was published in 1986. It is matted and framed. The piece commemorates 100th anniversary of Bartoldi's gift of lady liberty to the people of the United States from the people of France. It has more than 100 famous immigrants to the United States. The ship is the USS John F. Kennedy. You see the laser show bouncing off the buildings of Manhattan, balloons with tiny lights, a flotilla of tall ships and other boats of every imaginable kind, torch lighting ceremony, the swearing in of thousands of new citizens by the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and many other surprises. The print is in excellent condition with double mats and metal frame. It is printed on Arches Paper with foil work. The fireworks on the background of the Statue of Liberty are in Gold foil embossed. Melanie Taylor Kent is an official artist to Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Universal Studios and the US Olympic Committee. The original piece is on display in the Statue of Liberty Museum at the base of the statue in New York City.
